Summer light service is live–streamed weekly in Heubach Chapel as an option for parents with young children who would find that location helpful. In addition, a toddler room is newly renovated, along with a private room for nursing mothers in the balcony. We offer multiple options for your comfort; all are welcome in the Sanctuary!

We would love for you to join us at our next church work bee on Sunday, July 21. We have jobs arranged, big and small, for persons of all ages. Check in near the south entrance at any time between 8:30am to 12 noon. The church will also re-carpet three classrooms in the Children’s Wing; please help us tear out the old carpet on Sunday in preparation for the new carpet installation starting Monday. Join our Mentoring Team for the 2019-2020 academic year to sharpen the minds of the freshman class.  Mentorship is a valued tradition at Walla Walla University, providing supportive relationships and education to all first-time freshman students as they make the sometimes-difficult transition to University life. All mentors will be supported with weekly coaching sessions, providing guidance and tools to meet the needs of the students.

We are sad to announce that Caryn Pooley passed away on Thursday morning, June 20, with her family around her. We invite you to continue to pray for the family, her husband Ethan and sons Oliver and Orion; her mother Celia Boyd; her brother Andrew Boyd and his wife Christina Plantier Boyd and their children; and Ethan’s mother, Maida Delury.

Myron Widmer, our family and youth pastor in the early 1980s, passed away in Angwin after a debilitating struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. He and his wife, Karen, left Walla Walla for his assignment as Associate Editor of the Adventist Review and went from there to Pacific Union College. A memorial service is planned for July 13 at 4pm at the Pacific Union College Church and will be livestreamed. Our condolences go to Karen and their children Joel, Christina, and Brita and their families. Myron is the cousin of Doug Ammon, a member here. Can You Share an Instrument? The China Union Mission is needing gently used band and orchestra instruments to start an instrumental music program at Hong Kong Adventist Academy this next school year. If you have woodwind, brass, string or percussion instruments that you would like to donate, please contact Dean Kravig at dean.kravig@ucaa.org. Palisades Christian Learning Center in Spokane is seeking a full-time preschool lead teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. PCLC is an early learning center that serves approximately 60 students.
