MUSIC NOTE

Please join me in wishing a warm Walla Walla welcome to the many visiting students who comprise the Honor Band. We always look forward to hearing what the WWU Music Festival weekend will bring. This year’s band includes students from as far away as Maryland and California. Welcome to Walla Walla, and thank you, each one, for sharing your music.

We also thank Peter Flores, ASWWU spiritual vice president, and friends Matthew Moran and Noel Jabagat, who provide the offertory anthem.

The postlude presents an arrangement of Hymn No. 104, “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need.” As you prepare your heart to worship, please take some time to silently meditate on this text or those of our closing hymn, some of which are given here.

Like a river glorious
Is God’s perfect peace,
Over all victorious
In its bright increase;

Perfect, yet it floweth
Fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth

Deeper all the way.

Trusting in Jehovah,
Hearts are fully blest—
Finding, as He promised,
Perfect peace and rest.

-Kraig Scott
