"Let our rejoicing rise
    high as the list'ning skies
Let it resound,
    loud as the rolling sea."

SABBATH SCHOOL PROFILES:
BEREAN FELLOWSHIP

Berean Fellowship began about a decade ago under the direction of the Black Faculty and Staff Fellowship. In one sense, it grew in response to a need for African American style worship on compus. In another sense, Berean sought to create space for people of all ethnicities to share common ground. Reggie Richardson Jr. (Sophomore, theology) reports, “Berean is a place where people of all races can feel comfortable in an interactive and lively worship experience.” Folu Oyefeso (Junior, biochemistry) notes that friendliness and sustenance are part of what make Berean so great. “I love the energy and opennes of all the participants. Oh, and of course the food!”
All are invited to join Berean Fellowship for worship on Sabbath mornings in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium at 10:30am. We are blessed today to be led in worship at First Serve by the Berean Fellowship Praise Team.

WORSHIP NOTES

Today we welcome our members and visiting friends as we worship together in the historic style of
African Americans. In the Spoken Word, the Music, and congregational Response we honor God in the warm and joyful community of saints.

Laurent Grosvenor, pastor of the Temple Gate SDA Church in Selma, AL, will break the Word. For the third year on this special weekend, Dr. Wayne Bucknor and Professor Andrew Young from Oakwood University are our guest musicians. The mass choir is comprised of church members locally and across the great Northwest.

We invite you to this afternoon’s concert, “Total Praise: a Festival of Choirs”, at 4:00pm right here in the sanctuary.

May we all be richly blessed today as we worship!

-Pedrito U. Maynard-Reid,
WWU Assistant to the President for Diversity
