As part of the spring sermon series, we are planning Outdoor Church. On Sabbath, May 20, we will worship outside and then eat together afterwards, picnic-style. Join the University Church family at 11:45am on WWU's Centennial Green (pictured above, behind Peterson Library). Please bring chairs* or blankets as well as a picnic lunch for your family, and some extra to share.

*A limited number of chairs will be made available by the church for those with mobility challenges. The area is wheelchair accessible.

For Outdoor Church:

#86, How Great Thou Art

1 - O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all
the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout
the universe displayed

(Refrain)
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art
(repeat)

2 - When through the woods
And forest glades I wander
And hear the birds
sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down
From lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook
and feel the gentle breeze

3 - And when I think
That God His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die
I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross
My burden gladly bearing
He bled and died
to take away my sin.

4 - When Christ shall come
With shouts of acclamation
And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow
In humble adoration
And then proclaim
“My God, how great Thou art!”

#294, Power in the Blood

1 - Would you be free
from the burden of sin?
There’s pow’r in the blood,
pow’r in the blood;

Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

(Refrain)
There is pow’r, pow’r,
wonder working pow’r
In the blood of the Lamb;

There is pow’r, pow’r,
wonder working pow’r
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

2 - Would you be free
from your passion and pride?
There’s pow’r in the blood,
pow’r in the blood;

Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

3 - Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;

Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

#338, Redeemed!

1 - Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed thro’ His infinite mercy,
His child, and forever, I am.

(Refrain)
Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
His child and forever I am.

2 - I think of my blessed Redeemer,
I think of Him all the day long;
I sing, for I cannot be silent;
His love is the theme of my song.

3 - I know I shall see in His beauty
The King in whose law I delight,
Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps,
And giveth me songs in the night.

The University Church Budget funds operations subsidies for both Rogers & WWVA. In addition to this essential investment, the church also keeps a "Student Aid" fund used exclusively to help church member's families with tuition at our schools. The students this benefits might not otherwise be able to enjoy Christian education. To donate to "Student Aid," mark your gift on a tithe envelope.
